My name is Nabil, an IT specialist with a passion for open-source projects. My expertise spans across Linux, PHP, C/C++, and more. I actively contribute to various online communities and engage in open-source projects. I work as a System Engineer and WebOps. I work part-time as a translator and volunteer to tutor Arabic to non-native speakers as I’m the founder of ArabicBox, while also developing projects in Natural Language Processing (NLP).
As a former PhD student and researcher, I have a solid academic background. I’ve had the privilege of serving as a teaching assistant in the Computer Science department and contributing to numerous developmental and research project teams.
Beyond my IT specialization, I’m an avid blogger with a broad range of academic interests, including history, comparative linguistics, theology, biology, and astrophysics. I’m an amateur Go player, a practitioner of Chinese martial arts, and a lover of universal literature and poetry.
Throughout my career, I’ve relished tackling challenges, devising strategies, and applying my theoretical and technical knowledge towards problem-solving and innovation. As an aspiring chef, I spend a large amount of my free time exploring the latest academic research and technological advancement in the world.
My current research interests lie in Comparative-Historical Linguistics, NLP, Computational Linguistics, AI, System Administration, Web Technologies, Web Security, Cloud Services, and Context-aware Computing.
